Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing BJJ and wrestling, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was 18 years old. Ladd kept building on her triumph at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She defeated all her competitors in the initial round. Then she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen an unanimity loss and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's amateur career. Ladd rebounded from her loss in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her career as a pro. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her in the first round to win a TKO. The next time she fought, she won with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used superior wrestling to take down McGill in third round TKO. Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd did not make an appearance at the. Aspen, however, beat Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with a pound and grind to her, winning the TKO in second round. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the first round. She also received the bonus for performance of evening. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first major match. The two fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd taking a unanimous win and each fighter getting an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her streak of winning. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, was defeated by Randamie. As a replacement, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
